SUNNYVALE – A woman was hit and killed by a recreational vehicle over the weekend in Sunnyvale, according to authorities.

Officers and firefighters arrived to find the woman trapped under the vehicle.
Firefighters extricated the woman and took her to Stanford Health Care, where she was pronounced dead.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s identity after it has been confirmed and her next of kin has been notified.
Authorities determined the woman was helping level the RV on leveling blocks in the driveway of a home when the collision happened. The RV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The investigation into the collision is continuing, but authorities said intoxication and speed did not appear to play a role.
