The Arkansas Razorbacks haven’t had many bright spots in the first few weeks of the 2026 season, but star wide receiver Chris Marshall has been a pleasant surprise for Razorback faithful amid a putrid start.
A transfer portal addition over the offseason, Marshall emerged as an immediate contributor in first-year head coach Ryan Silverfield’s offense during spring and fall camp.
He flashed the insane playmaking ability he displayed all offseason in the waning seconds of the first half against Georgia, going up with one hand and bringing down one of the craziest catches we have seen so far this season.

— Nash (@NashTalksTexas) September 19, 2026A Texas native, Marshall was originally a 5-star recruit in Texas A&M’s infamous 2022 recruiting class. He spent a year in College Station before transferring to Ole Miss. He was dismissed from the Rebels before the 2023 campaign and spent that season at JUCO Kilgore College.
After that, he joined Boise State and played there in 2024-25, racking up 587 yards and 2 touchdowns across both years. That caught the eye of the Razorbacks staff, and Marshall moved to Fayetteville last winter.
It’s clear that the immense talent that made Marshall a 5-star recruit coming out of high school is still there, and this insane play shows why Arkansas was so eager to add him to the roster.
