Born Feb. 15, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Izell Smith and Edna Richburg Smith. Veronica was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and retired from Delphi Packard Electric in 1999 after 33 years of service as an inspector. A member of Grace A.M.E. Church, she served as a Steward, Trustee, Stewardess, member of the Senior Choir, lay organizations, Food Pantry, Church School, Helping Hand Club and the Rev. Gina Thornton Bible Study Class.
