Authorities believe that a woman found dead on a bridge in Willits Sunday killed herself, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, officers posted in Laytonville responded to the Upp Creek Bridge on North Main Street north of Willits around 2:30 p.m. April 9 when a 911 caller reported that a possible suicide had occurred there. Medical personnel who responded to the scene declared the woman, publicly identified only as a 64-year-old Willits resident, as deceased. Law enforcement personnel reportedly determined that the “evidence on scene overwhelmingly indicates that (the woman) committed suicide.” The CHP added that it was investigating the incident “to fully determine
