Planning to travel to or from O’Hare Airport on the CTA’s Blue Line next weekend? There’s a major change you’ll want to know about.
Shuttle buses will replace trains between Jefferson Park and Harlem from 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 through 4 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, according to the CTA’s website. Riders are encouraged to allow for extra travel time.
Trains will operate between O’Hare and Harlem along the line’s O’Hare branch and between Jefferson Park, downtown and Forest Park.
The CTA said the service changes are needed for track maintenance and designed to provide a “safer, smoother commute.” The work is being funded through the Northern Illinois Transit Authority Act.
