Luke Bryan’s Son Bo Secures College Football Scholarship, Despite Injury ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

A broken collarbone won’t sideline Luke Bryan‘s son for long. Boyer “Bo” Bryan, a high school football star, has committed to a college football team, and he even scored a scholarship.

Bo will head to the University of Georgia next fall to play for the Georgia Bulldogs.

“I bleed red and black. I’m home,” the 18-year-old teen told Rivals, an outlet that covers sports recruiting news.

The younger Bryan suffered a rough football injury just a few weeks ago, when he was sacked during an Oct. 16 game and fell on his right shoulder, breaking his collarbone. The timing was especially unfortunate, given the big news that followed shortly after that he’s signed on to play ball for Georgia after he graduates.

He’s unlikely to have any field time in 2027, however. Taste of Country reports that Georgia has several talented quarterbacks in its roster, including Gunner Stockton, a starter. Plus, he needs time to recover.

Bo Bryan plays for the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats in Franklin, Tenn. right now.

Award-winning country star Luke Bryan and his wife, Caroline Bryan, have two sons, Bo and Tate, though they also adopted their then 13-year-old nephew, Til, in 2014. Til’s mother—the singer’s sister—died in 2007, followed by her husband in 2014, leaving the boy and his sisters without guardians. The girls were adults at the time, so Til went to live with his uncle, aunt, and cousins.

The patriarch, Luke Bryan, is currently filming for Season 25 of American Idol, which is due to premiere in 2027. He’ll sit at the judges’ table with fellow country stars Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie, as he’s done in the past.

As an added bonus, the reality singing show just moved production from its longtime Los Angeles home to Atlanta, Ga., putting Dad much closer to Sanford Stadium, where the Bulldogs—and his son Bo—will be playing.
