Brooke’s gut-wrenching statement continued as she shared memories of her father’s home, “We cooked, we watched Jerry Springer, we played music, we cried. I walked in that garage every visit and hugged him right when he’d open the garage door. I’d sit next to him for hours in the chair he died in. His whole environment, his energy, his work, his relationships. And now it’s all gone. Sold for profit. Just like him…used for everyone else’s gain. Saddest ending I’ve ever seen.”
The 38-year-old later opened up about the dramatically discounted price and the circumstances surrounding the sale, telling Us Magazine, “There’s something deeply unsettling about watching a person’s life and memories reduced to transactions.”
She added, “Some people see a home filled with history and love. Others simply see what it’s worth. I’ve learned that the way people move when there’s nothing left to gain from someone anymore can tell you everything about how they valued them when they were still alive.”
While Brooke did speak out about the sale, she also said she isn’t sharing everything right now: “I know more than I’ve ever felt the need to explain. What I choose to say, and when, is entirely up to me. But my silence should never be mistaken for a lack of understanding.”
