The play in question was his dunk over the Utah Jazz in the second game of Summer League, where Caleb finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Caleb’s reaction was entertaining in itself, considering he was reacting to his own highlight. But the best part was him trying to clear up whether the play was actually a dunk or a throw-in, using the precedent set by one of the best dunking power forwards of our generation, Blake Griffin, whose throw-ins were always counted as dunks. — NBA (@NBA) September 20, 2026 Another Bulls player who broke down Bulls film yesterday was Josh Giddey, on his new YouTube channel, where the whole content plan going forward is to break down even more Bulls film. If you’re an investor in great content, this is one channel you need to get in on because this was an amazing breakdown. There were definitely things I saw in this video that made me question some of the media stereotypes surrounding the Bulls roster. For starters, Patrick Williams honestly does have great defensive potential. Beyond the obvious physical tools, he also has some defensive IQ that definitely goes unnoticed. Now, obviously, he’s essentially a negative factor in everything else and is on a bad contract. But Tiago Splitter maybe, possibly, hopefully, could make something useful out of Paw. The other part was Giddey highlighting where he makes his own defensive mistakes. Very rarely do you get to see players do that sort of thing publicly, and that kind of self-awareness does show signs of at least some conscious improvement. He also gave a shoutout to Stacey King for his incredible call on this iconic play:“Shout out to Stacey King,” said Josh Giddey. “Rest in peace to him, and he’s obviously going to be dearly missed by everyone. He was such an integral part of the Chicago Bulls. It’s always cool to hear his voice on plays like this.”
