Two people were charged after authorities seized over 300 pounds of cocaine and more than $700,000 from a home in suburban River Grove, federal authorities said.
Burhan C. Ozerdinc, 33, of Oak Lawn, and Ahmad S. Sanducka, 33, of Mount Prospect, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute over 900 grams on Thursday.
According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, as part of a drug trafficking investigation, agents executed a search warrant at a residence and seized 339 and a half pounds of cocaine and approximately $700,000 in U.S. currency. Ozerdinc and Sanducka were arrested in connection with the search warrant.
A Cook County judge ordered both suspects detained ahead of trial.
