Chicago police have issued a community alert after a man allegedly maced another passenger on a CTA Red Line train while making antisemitic comments.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at a train near the Granville stop in the Edgewater neighborhood just before 7 p.m. on August 25.
In the attack, police allege the suspect in the case approached another passenger and sprayed mace at him. He then allegedly struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and made antisemitic comments before fleeing the train.
The suspect in the case is described as a Black male, approximately 40-to-55 years of age, standing between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-11 inches tall and weighing between 190 and 240 pounds.
He was wearing a security cap with a blue jacket over a yellow work vest and dark pants.
