ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Police Department said it arrested two men after a street stop on Saturday, and one of them had an illegal stolen gun from Ohio, police say.
Police said they got a call about three men carrying guns at the corner of Portland Avenue and Norton Street around 4 p.m. When police got to the area around 4:30 p.m., they found the men and stopped them.
A 22-year-old Rochester man was found with an illegally loaded handgun that was reported stolen from Ohio, police said. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees.
Additionally, another man, an 18-year-old from Rochester, had a warrant for his arrest.
Both men were taken to the Monroe County Jail, police said.
