Fishers Area Swimming Tigers (FAST) have added a pair of former Indiana swimming talents to their staff: MacKenzie Looze and Kyle Whitaker.
Looze spent five years with the Hoosier program at the University of Indiana, where she was a five-time NCAA All-American and the 2022 National Champion in the 200 LCM Breaststroke.
She was named to the US National team for the 2022-2023 season and represented the US at the Duel in the Pool against Australia in 2022.
Looze retired from competition in 2023 to pursue an upper-level degree in speech pathology at the MGH Institute of Professions in Boston, Mass.
With FAST, Looze will be a part-time Assistant Coach, while working full-time at the Riley Children’s Hospital.
Looze is the daughter of long-time Indiana Head Coach Ray Looze.

Whitaker, originally from Chesterton, Indiana, competed collegiately for another Big Ten school in Michigan, graduating in 2014, and was a championship finalist at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving National Championship in each of his four years with the program.
In high school, where he swam for Chesterton High School, he led his teams to back-to-back state championship titles in 2008 and 2009, while collecting eight individual state titles and four relay state titles along the way. Whitaker was named the National High School Coaches Association Swimmer of the Year for the 2009-10 season.
His high school success also led to his induction into the Indiana High School Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame.
Whitaker also represented the US at the World University Games, where he was also a team captain.
In 2018, Whitaker graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Master of Science Degree in Historical Preservation.
With FAST, Whitaker will be a full-time Assistant Coach, working with the Tiger Stripes, National, and Elite groups, while also serving as a Business Manager for FAST.
