Caleb Wilson may be seeing red now, but was he also seeing the future?
The Bulls’ NBA Draft pick from the University of North Carolina took to social media shortly after his selection to share an old photo from his childhood.
In the image, Wilson is holding a sparkler while wearing a Bulls sweatshirt.
“SEE RED,” he captioned the image.
Fans were quick to comment on the post.
“That was a premonition! So happy for him! Get that jersey in the rafters next to Mike!” one user wrote.
“He’s been a bull from birth,” another wrote.
“It was meant to be,” another commented.
The Bulls selected Wilson, a forward, with the No. 4 overall pick in Tuesday night’s draft.
Wilson only took one predraft visit in the lead-up to the selection show, and it was with the Bulls, who are now under the leadership of Executive VP of Basketball Operations Bryson Graham and head coach Tiago Splitter.
The Bulls later used the No. 15 pick in the first round on Texas guard Dailyn Swain.
According to Pro Basketball Reference, Wilson is now just the fourth player the Bulls have drafted out of North Carolina. The most famous of course is Michael Jordan, selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 1984 Draft, and the Bulls also picked Coby White (2019) and Shammond Williams (1998) from the school.
