The newly-tanking Chicago Bulls appear to be mostly ready for a Saturday night home tilt against the Denver Nuggets, who even without Aaron Gordon or Peyton Watson available should crush them easily.
Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports that former Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Rob Dillingham has passed his team physical and has been spotted putting up shots at the Advocate Center, along with fellow new Bulls Jaden Ivey, Anfernee Simons, Collin Sexton, Guerschon Yabusele, Nick Richards, and Leonard Miller.
Per K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network, Dillingham indicated that he had been on the Bulls’ radar ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft, where he was ultimately selected with the No. 8 pick and traded to Minnesota.
There’s more from around the Bulls and NBA world, as the dust continues to settle following a busy trade deadline.
© Brad Rempel-Imagn Images The Bulls being the Bulls, they somehow botched one of their already-disappointing trades retroactively. Fred Katz and Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic report that new Charlotte Hornets guard Coby White failed his physical. Charlotte discovered that he had a surprise left calf injury and would need to sit out for a bit. Now, the Hornets have revised their trade with Chicago, and will only ship the Bulls two future second-round picks (the New York Knicks’ and Denver Nuggets’ 2031 selections) instead of the initially planned three. As Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints writes, the Hornets do not consider this to be a major ailment, so they do want to keep White — but because they had no idea about the calf injury prior to the physical, they were able to tweak the initial deal. While on the Charlotte Hornets’ local FanDuel Sports affiliate, White spoke about his fresh lease on life with an ascendant Hornets squad. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and should get a big raise from his $12.9 million salary — one the Bulls were apparently unwilling to pay.“It’s been emotional, but it’s also a blessing to be able to come home and play for my home-state team,” White said. “No matter where I’m at in the world, I’ll always be a North Carolina kid at heart.”
Ayo Dosunmu now finds himself free of the sub-.500 malaise he had suffered for most of his pro career in Chicago. The Morgan Park and University of Illinois product revealed that he journaled upon finding out he had been dealt to the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Andrew Dukowitz of Zone Coverage.“Me being from Chicago I wanted to make sure I embraced all of my feelings, I didn’t want to bottle up anything,” Dosunmu said. “I think when you do that it’s not the right way to go about things so right away I was in a room, I had my journal down and I was just writing how I was feeling and embracing it. Then as hours go on, I was able to understand it and be like this is a great opportunity.”
Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic notes that Dosunmu has his phone set to “Do Not Disturb” on non-game days (a good idea, to be fair), and indicated that he knew something was up when his girlfriend called him on Wednesday. The 6-foot-4 combo guard, a great 3-point shooter and downhill player, will now join a contending Timberwolves club desperate for backcourt help. Minnesota has made the Western Conference Finals in each of the past two seasons, and is hoping to go deeper this year. Chicago hasn’t made it out of the first round since 2015 — and has qualified for the playoffs proper exactly twice since then. © Matt Krohn-Imagn Images On the latest installment of ESPN’s must-listen NBA pod “Brian Windhorst and the Hoop Collective,” team president Arturas Karnisovas was called out for his horrific mishandling of key assets like Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu. Tim Bontemps ripped Karnisovas for holding onto both star guards too long and not getting enough back (he received a total of eight picks in return), and for a totally sloppy roster plan. It’s a relief to hear national media shred Chicago like this. Sources tell Michael Scotto of HoopsHype former Bulls draft bust Dalen Terry, who was shipped to the New York Knicks and then rerouted to the New Orleans Pelicans this past week, is being cut from New Orleans before suiting up for a single game. Provided he clears waivers, he’ll become an unrestricted free agent. Still just 23, the raw, athletic young wing was selected with the No. 18 pick out of Arizona in 2022. Terry averaged a discouraging 3.5 points on .441/.413/.529 shooting splits, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists a night. Another former longtime Bull, center Nikola Vucevic, enjoyed a solid debut off the bench for his new club, the Boston Celtics. He scored an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double, while also chipping in four dimes and two steals in a 98-96 comeback win against the Miami Heat. Yes, Vucevic just played the Heat four times in a row between that game and his final three Bulls games.Nikola Vučević in his Celtics debut:

Prior to the game, Vucevic reflected on his new environs with gathered reporters, including Noa Dalzell of Celtics On CLNS.
“Over the years, a lot of talks with me being connected to the Celtics,” Vucevic said. “And lot of times when I was in Boston, just around the city, I hear fans telling me to come here. And so it happened now, and I’m very happy, and I’m just gonna try to do the best I can to help the team.”
The Golden State Warriors had a relatively quiet trade deadline, ultimately flipping Jonathan Kuminga and their Buddy Hield contract to the Atlanta Hawks for Kristaps Porzingis. The 3-and-D center is a great theoretical fit in Golden State, but health has impeded his availability so he’s just a constant question mark. Now, the Warriors are set to promote Northwestern alum Pat Spencer from a two-way deal to a standard roster spot — and are seeking to sign free agent ex-Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball next, reports Jake Fischer of The Stein Line. The Cleveland Cavaliers — who had acquired Ball in a straight-up trade with the Bulls for swingman Isaac Okoro this past summer — salary-dumped the UCLA product to the Utah Jazz, who have waived him. New Washington Wizards center/power forward Anthony Davis is — shocker — going to be sitting out for the rest of the 2025-26 season with “hand” and “groin” injuries, sources tell Chris Haynes of Amazon Prime Video. Clearly, the Wiz are still looking to embrace the tank and grab some top-tier lottery talent in the 2026 NBA Draft. © Kevin Jairaj-Imagn ImagesHence then, the article about coby white trade revision ayo in minnesota karnisovas roasted terry cut and other bulls bullets was published today ( ) and is available on Bleacher Nation ( Middle East ) The editorial team at PressBee has edited and verified it, and it may have been modified, fully republished, or quoted.
