We are headed into the final week of the 2026 Ivy League Dual Meet Competition, and the whole thing comes down to the Harvard, Princeton, and Yale dual meet on Friday and Saturday.
The Harvard, Yale and Princeton men all remain undefeated, while the Harvard and Princeton women are. The teams that win this weekend’s meet will win the overall title.
There have been four meets since the last article SwimSwam wrote, and the leaderboards didn’t see much shifting. Most teams will wrap up their season this weekend with three meets scheduled.
Harvard vs Penn
Penn wrapped up their Ivy League season on January 17th against Harvard, with the Harvard Crimson winning both meets to stay undefeated going into the H-Y-P meet.
The Penn women finished with a 5-2 record and the men finished at 2-5. The Penn women will finish 3rd in the Ivy League rankings, their highest finish since they finished 3rd in 2017 and a huge improvement from their 3-4 record last season.
The Penn men also improved their overall record from their 1-6 last year when they finished 7th.
Meet Highlights
Adriano Aritoi (Harvard) won three events, the 100 back (48.30), 200 back (1:42.02 PB), and 400 IM (3:53.88) Raphael Tourette (Harvard) swept the diving events (1-meter 317.50, 3-meter 331.35) while the rest of the team swept the whole top four spots on both. Penn beat Boston College with Watson Nguyen (100 breast — 53.09) and Peter Whittington (200 breast — 1:56.30) both taking individual event wins. Carolina Daher (Harvard) and Alexandra Bastone (Harvard) took the top two spots in both distance events. Anya Mostek (Harvard) won the 100 back (53.20), 50 free (23.60), and 200 back (1:58.40). The Brown women and Columbia men split dual meet wins on Brown’s senior day.
The Brown women currently sit in 5th at 3-3 while the Columbia women dropped to 0-5. On the men’s side, Brown dropped to 7th at 1-5 while Columbia jumped to 2-3.

The Brown women swept the top four spots in the 400 IM led by Natalie Garre‘s 4:15.11 Morgan Lukinac (Brown) won the 50 free (22.82) and 100 free (49.05) The Columbia men had the top two spots in the 1000 free, 50 free, and 200 fly. Yale broke five pool records in their meet against Cornell, sweeping the Big Red teams in their own pool.
The Yale men are undefeated, while the Yale women sit in 4th at 3-2 after dropping duals to Penn and Brown. The Cornell men moved to 2-3, while the women sat at 1-4 after this meet

The Columbia men and Cornell women picked up dual meet wins last weekend at Columbia in the only Ivy dual of the week.
The Columbia men currently sit in 4th at 3-3 with one meet remaining while the women sit in 8th at 1-5. The Cornell men are 5th with their 2-4 record while the women sit just one spot ahead of Columbia at 1-5.

Columbia Men’s 200 Medley Relay Pool Record: 1:26.28 — Isaac Beers (21.90), Beri Yang (24.74), Brian Lee (21.30), Zion James (18.34) Sally Ma (Columbia) swept the sprint free events, swimming 23.24 in the 50 and 51.16 in the 100. Haihan Xu (Cornell) won the 100 breast (53.78), and Pietro Ubertalli (Cornell) won the 200 back (1:44.72) The Cornell women took the top two spots in the 200 free, 200 fly, 1-meter diving, and 200 IM. On Friday and Saturday, Princeton and Yale will travel to Harvard to wrap up the season. All the sessions of the meet are streaming on ESPN+ with swimming starting at 4:00 pm on Friday and 1:00 pm on Saturday.
