Phoenix Suns guards Devin Booker (ankle) and Jalen Green (hamstring) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Miami Heat after both were injured Friday at the Atlanta Hawks.
Late in the third quarter, Booker was lightly slowing down while a whistle was blown to his right, and as he looked that way, he unknowingly collided with Atlanta’s Onyeka Okongwu to badly twist his right ankle.
Booker was down for about 30 seconds before gingerly making his way toward the locker room with a heavy limp and needing to take a few breaks en route to the back.
He had sprained his left ankle just 10 days prior in Miami, which forced him to miss just one game, but he was clearly playing through some limitations.

Phoenix announced ahead of Sunday’s game that Booker would be reevaluated in one week.
Green came off the bench and played four minutes in the first quarter, logging four points, one rebound and one assist. He was not seen on the bench after the early stint and was later ruled out with “precautionary right hamstring tightness,” according to the team.
Green has appeared in just four out of 45 regular-season games for Phoenix this season after the offseason Kevin Durant trade netted the Suns Green, Dillon Brooks and the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft that was used to select Khaman Maluach.
He reaggravated the hamstring injury in two of those four games and averaged 20.5 points per game in the two contests he finished.
Jordan Goodwin will continue to wear a mask as he plays through a jaw sprain.
Heat injury report vs. Suns
The Heat have ruled out Tyler Herro (ribs), and Norman Powell is probable with low back tightness.
Andrew Wiggins is probable with left hamstring tightness, while Davion Mitchell (left shoulder sprain) is out, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (left knee sprain) is available for Sunday’s game.
Herro will miss his fifth straight game and hasn’t played since Jan. 15. The guard has played in just 11 of their 46 games this season, averaging 21.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
Powell has played in seven straight games and missed just one game this month (Jan. 11). He’s missed just six games all season and he’s averaging 23.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assist per game.
Jaquez has played in the Heat’s last four games, but has missed five games this month. The UCLA product has averaged 15. 2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
Mitchell has missed the last two games, and has missed five of the Heat’s last 10 games. However, the guard played in 34 of the teams 35 games to start the season, and is averaging nine points, 2.6 and 7.2 assist per game.
