Cardiac Bulls Get It Done! Bulls 128, Jazz 126 – January 14, 2026 ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

The Chicago Bulls vs. Utah Jazz was a League Pass classic. Two teams basically allergic to defense and obsessed with running, passing, and scoring, put on another ridiculous show. Luckily for the Bulls, they didn’t just entertain, they sent the crowd home happy with a win.

The game was packed with absurd performances and stat lines that looked like something straight out of NBA 2K. Both teams were extremely shorthanded in talent, but not in offensive production. After their overtime thriller the last time these teams played each other, we knew this one had a chance to be fun, and it absolutely delivered.

That said, there were plenty of negatives to take away: no Matas minutes in the fourth, no real answer for Brice Sensabaugh or Keyonte George, and zero protection in the paint. But hey, at the end of the night, the Bulls still won.

First Half: Um… Can Someone Stop Brice Sensabaugh?

Expect the unexpected. That should be the Bulls’ motto this season. In the first quarter of this game, we saw a Coby White block, his first of the season, and a made Patrick Williams shot. Time to buy my lottery ticket, because this kind of luck won’t last long.

The opening quarter started with big-man domination on offense. Nikola Vučević had 11 points in just his first few minutes of action. But since neither of these teams plays much defense, that Vooch explosion never translated into a real cushion early. The game stayed tight, featuring 15 lead changes and eight ties.

Brice Sensabaugh went nuclear, dropping 21 points in the first quarter on an absurd 8-for-9 shooting. Everything he touched turned to pure gold. Turn on the AC — he is HOT.

The only real defense Chicago managed was forcing Utah’s two best players, Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier, to each pick up two early fouls and spend most of the opening frame glued to the bench. Still, the Bulls were down three.

Brice was having a record-breaking night, and the Jazz kept him on the floor. The only way the Bulls could slow him down was by literally flagrant-fouling him — and yes, that’s actually what they did. Ayo was the one who had to take one for the team.

Luckily for Chicago, Utah somehow plays even worse defense than the Bulls. So this historic scoring binge came in a game where the Jazz needed every single point just to keep things close.

This game was shaping up to have just as much scoring as the last time these two teams faced off.

The Bulls built a nine-point lead in the second quarter and managed to carry it into halftime. Bulls 71, Jazz 62 at the break.

Chicago Bulls Player of the Half – Nikola Vučević: 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one block on 70% from the field.

Second Half: The Cardiac Bulls Strike Again!

The Jazz came out of halftime aggressive, with a clear goal: put pressure on Chicago and erase that lead. They opened the half on a 19–8 run, not only tying the game but taking control of it. Utah ran clean sets, got easy looks in the paint, and actually played some defense, and that was all it took to swing the momentum to the visiting team.

Patrick Williams was also playing… good? He had almost the same number of points through three quarters as he had in his last five games combined. What is going on in this game?

Dalen Terry was also putting together a solid night, and despite all of it, the game was still wide open. Chicago and Utah, level going into the fourth quarter, tied at 94.

Brice kept his perfect night rolling, blowing past his career high with his first two shots of the quarter. All 36 of them came off the bench, with ten minutes still left to play — and 40-plus very much still on the table.

The Bulls’ bench delivered big minutes in the fourth, pushing Chicago to its largest lead of the night. Smith logged a double-double, Ayo was hitting tough shots, and Williams and Terry were holding their own. The Bulls were in control, clearly not interested in taking another Jazz game to overtime.

The stat lines in this game were getting ridiculous. Sensabaugh finished with a career-high 43 off the bench, while Vooch dropped a season-high 35.

This game came alive in the clutch. Keyonte George, a player I personally really like, was relentlessly aggressive, living at the free-throw line and keeping Utah within a possession or two of Chicago. He scored most of his points in the second half and even ripped off a personal 8–0 run in less than a minute.

This game, better than the one 24 hours ago, was an edge-of-your-seat thriller. Vučević came up with a huge clutch block, but then Coby White rushed and threw the ball away, maybe even threw away the game.

Utah, on the other end, gave the ball to the man on fire, Brice Sensabaugh, who took it straight to the rim to tie it. The Bulls got lost trying to defend George. A costly mistake.

Game tied at 126.

And in the final possession of the game, Vucci Mane strikes again. Isaac Okoro saved the ball for Tre Jones, who fired a bullet to Vučević for an easy go-ahead bucket. The Cardiac Bulls take the lead!

Bulls win, 128–126. I can breathe now.

Numbers to Remember

The Chicago Bulls finished with 128 points. At halftime, they were shooting 61% from the field — their best shooting half of the season.

— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) January 15, 2026 Nikola Vučević poured in a season-high 35 points, his first 30-plus point game of the year. He also had a season-high 24 points in the paint. He also now ranks second all-time in Bulls history among centers with 30-point games. twitter.com/NBA/status/2011653258838765674?s=20 The 35-year-old has missed just one of the Bulls’ 40 games this season, making him one of Chicago’s most reliable options — something head coach Billy Donovan praised after the game.

— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) January 15, 2026 Coby White also swatted his first shot of the season tonight. Before that block, he was the highest-scoring player in the league this season who hadn’t recorded a single block. He also passed Joakim Noah for 14th on the Bulls’ all-time assists leaderboard tonight.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) January 15, 2026 Matas Buzelis, who didn’t see the floor at all in the fourth quarter, recorded the 100th dunk of his career tonight. However, he finished with just seven points, snapping his career-long streak of 15-point games at seven.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) January 15, 2026 Patrick Williams finished with 13 points, more than he had in his last five games combined. Dalen Terry added 11 points in just 13 minutes, a season-high.

— Joshua Miranda (@JoshAMiranda) January 15, 2026 Brice Sensabaugh ended the night with 43 points off the bench — the most by any reserve this season and the second-most bench points in team history.
