Tuscaloosa man Joseph Bradly Mullins was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged for the attempted murder of his wife.
Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting at the 8800 block of Old Marion Road at approximately 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. Mullins’s 43-year-old wife was found shot with serious injuries before he was detained on scene.
VCU interviewed multiple people, including a child. According to Captain Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the parties that were interviewed witnessed an argument between the couple and the shooting.
Mullins was committed to jail without bond hours after his detainment.
Kennedy said that the victim is expected to survive.
