GATES, N.Y. — Paul Road Elementary in the Gates Chili Central School District was evacuated on Monday after a carbon monoxide detector went off, the Chili Fire Department has confirmed.
Fire officials say students were evacuated to the high school out of an abundance of caution and no one was in danger. We’re working to learn if the students have returned.
Firefighters responded to the carbon monoxide alarm around 10:30 a.m. and say they found a small amount of build-up in the maintenance room. Check back for updates.
