IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — A bipartisan group called Irondequoit Citizens for Ethical Government is calling for the removal of the Irondequoit Town Board members.
The group announced it plans to file a petition to have the four council members removed and will discuss the plans at a press conference at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in front of the Kiwanis gazebo at Irondequoit Town Hall.
The group accuses the councilmembers of an abuse of power and lack of transparency in the indictment of Town Supervisor Andrae Evans.
Evans has been accused of sexual harassment by a former employee and is facing removal by the Town Board and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. He is running for re-election through a write-in campaign.
