Canadian Olive Rogers has verbally committed to join the Akron University roster for the fall of 2026 as a backstroke specialist.

I’d like to thank my family, friends and coach Marc for their unconditional support as well as Eswim for all the opportunities that led here. Rogers swims for Etobicoke Swimming in Toronto, and at the 2025 Canadian Swimming Trials, she qualified for the ‘A’ final in the women’s 200 backstroke, swimming a new personal best time of 2:17.26. She also qualified for the semifinals in the 50 backstroke, finishing 13th after setting a personal best 30.31 in the prelims.
She lowered her best time in the 200 back even further at the Ontario Championships in July, swimming 2:16.42 to finish 2nd overall. At the same meet, she finished 2nd in the 100 back in 1:04.04, 19th in the 400 free at 4:40.21, and 23rd in the 100 free in 1:01.04.
Earlier this month, she swam at the World Aquatics World Cup in Toronto, where she finished 17th in the 200 back (2:11.87), 22nd in the 100 back (1:01.26), and 29th in the 50 back (28.66).

On last season’s Akron team, Rogers’ converted times would have been 4th in the 200 back, 6th in the 100 back, and 11th in the 200 IM.
She will join Leah Nebraska on campus in the fall.
