ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The large area of low pressure responsible for our cool and showery weather is still lurking to the north, keeping us unsettled into the end of the work week. Friday will see more dry time than what we’ve seen the last few days, but a few scattered showers will still be around, especially into the afternoon and evening. Despite a little more sun, temperatures will once again hold in the lower 50s.
The weekend will show some improvement. The low continues to weaken, but it may be just cool enough for a few lake rain showers to start Saturday, before drier air moves in. So, we’ll see a slight chance of a shower to kick off the weekend, but most of Saturday should be dry. Sunday looks better, with more sun and dry weather, though still on the cool side.
We’ll remain dry with some sun, but staying cool into the early to middle part of next week. Daytime highs will hold in the lower 50s, with overnight lows dipping into the mid 30s with some frost in spots. Then we’ll be watching a developing coastal low, that may try to spread some rain showers back into the Northeast by Thursday and Friday of next week. It is still very early, but for planning purposes, we may see a few showers around with temperatures in the 40s and low 50s for Trick or Treating next Friday. Stay tuned.
