Analysis
It’s time to face the music here. And the music is John Williams’ Indiana Jones theme. This guy looks good. He’s having the Geno Smith-Baker Mayfield-Sam Darnold renaissance year. Through two games, including Sunday against a monster Broncos defense, Daniel Jones has totaled 588 yards and two touchdowns through the air, with three touchdowns on the ground for good measure. Entering Monday, he is the No. 2 player in all of fantasy, behind only Lamar Jackson.
Yes, you read that correctly. The list is: Lamar Jackson (55.66 points), Daniel Jones (52.32), then Josh Allen (50.58) and Patrick Mahomes (48.10). The Titans had not been friendly to QBs for some time, but they did just surrender 298 yards and two touchdowns to Matthew Stafford. With Indiana Jones taking on Tennessee in Week 3, he will likely be in my top 10 at the quarterback position — and that makes him just about a must-start. Maybe this all comes crashing down. Or maybe he just ends up being “okay, but not Andrew Luck returned.” Maybe.
Or maybe he finishes as an upper-tier fantasy QB like Smith, Mayfield, and Darnold did in their breakout years. Either way, he must be added in all but the shallowest leagues.

Who are the best sleeper options in the Week 12 Fantasy Football QB Rankings?
Here are two of the best options to pick up on waiver wires, depending on your league size.
Michael Penix Jr. (Falcons) at Panthers
Talk about two contrasting performances from Michael Penix Jr. He attempted 42 passes against the Buccaneers in Week 1, throwing for 298 yards and one touchdown. He also added six carries for 21 yards and a touchdown. With the Falcons dominating the Vikings on Sunday Night Football in Week 2, Penix only attempted 21 passes. That left him with 135 passing yards and no touchdowns.
Last season, the Panthers ranked 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Part of the problem is their inability to get to the quarterback. They had only 32 sacks last season, and they have just one sack through their first two games this year. There is some blowout potential here, but given how bad the Panthers’ defense has been, Penix is still one of the more appealing streaming options for the week.
Aaron Rodgers (Steelers) at Patriots
Like Penix, Aaron Rodgers couldn’t build on a good Week 1 performance. He only completed 54.5% of his pass attempts in Week 2 against the Seahawks, finishing with 203 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. His average target depth of 5.4 yards is the fourth-lowest in the NFL among quarterbacks who have made two starts this year.
As bad as Rodgers was last week, he showed his upside with four touchdowns in Week 1. The Patriots have been picked apart through the air, allowing 315.0 passing yards per game. They are the only team to allow at least 300 passing yards per game. Opposing quarterbacks have completed 75.8% of their pass attempts against the Patriots. If cornerback Christian Gonzalez (hamstring) is out again, Rodgers could pick apart this Patriots’ secondary. Even if Gonzalez plays, the Patriots are more than one player away from having a good defense against the pass.
