ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A great day for all things outdoors is coming up! Whether it’s the Fringe Festival, Bills block party, the last home game for the Red Wings, a hike at Letchworth, or anything else outside, expect near perfect conditions. Temperatures will quickly rise through the 60s this morning and peak in the mid 70s this afternoon, with mostly sunny skies and dew points around 60 degrees.
A little cooler night coming up with lows in the low to mid 50s, and some patchy fog may develop along eastern portions of the Thruway and in parts of the Finger Lakes/Southern Tier. The sunshine remains, not just Monday, but all the way through Thursday at least! Great for outdoor plans, not so great for the lawns, gardens, and farms. An upper level ridge is to blame for this dry stretch, and it will also help promote warmer temperatures – Summer will make somewhat of a comeback with an 83 degree day on Thursday before a cold front finally brings some rain and drops our temperatures down to the low 70s just in time for the first day of fall next Monday.
