The Seminoles won just 2 games last season, and while they seem to be vastly improved, Alabama was championed by many as the eventual SEC champions preseason.
What was brutal about that game wasn’t necessarily the loss. You can respect a hard-fought losing effort against a good team. The Seminoles certainly seem to be pretty good, at least. What you can’t respect, and what Alabama showed the entirety of Week 1, is an embarrassing lack of effort. Defenders jogging, Tommy Castellanos dominating and Alabama subverting expectations so drastically is unacceptable in Tuscaloosa, and they Tide faithful have voiced their displeasure with DeBoer for allowing it to happen.
