Kelly said that Anderson should return to practice on Wednesday after missing the team’s past 3 practices. Anderson participated on the first day of fall camp before missing those 3 practices. He’s been wearing a sleeve on his left leg to help the injury heal.
Anderson’s injury issue was a topic on Sunday afternoon while Kelly spoke at LSU football’s annual service day at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. While Kelly was talking, Anderson was actually in front of him dancing while packing boxes with the rest of the Tigers’ wide receivers. So, that image alone should calm the nerves of worried LSU fans.
Kelly explained that Anderson’s injury issue stemmed from a cartilage injury that limited his playing time during his freshman season at Alabama in 2022. The issue required surgery.
The New Orleans native was a big part of LSU’s passing game last season, catching 61 passes for 884 yards and 5 touchdowns.
