ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester firefighters shortly before midnight Thursday continued battling an immense fire at a building on the intersection of Lyell and Dewey avenues.
The fire started around 10:30 a.m. in the old Tent City building, a former retail building which was to be converted by Winn Development into affordable housing with over 80 apartment units, mainly for veterans.
As of 11:30 p.m., the blaze was a four-alarm fire.
