On Saturday, July 5, the former child actress, 61, took to Instagram with a post dedicated to McMahon., who died at 56 on July 2 at his home in Clearwater, Fla., after a private battle with cancer.
"So, so sad to hear that Julian has passed," Gilbert wrote in her update. "I had such a wonderful time working with him."
"Truth be told, I was a HUGE fan of NipTuck," the actress added. "So when I got the role, which I auditioned for btw, I was so excited!"
To conclude her post, Gilbert shared, "My thoughts are with his beloved family today as well as all those who knew and loved him. May flights of angels sing there to thy rest."
