The Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s troubles are all set to further deepen after the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) held the IPL 2025 winners responsible for the massive crowd gathering that led to the tragic stampede in Bengaluru, where 11 people lost their lives on June 4.

The complaint accuses both RCB and KSCA of gross negligence in handling the crowd situation that led to the stampede in Bengaluru last month. Both RCB and KSCA have been given four weeks to submit their respective statements to the ombudsman.

As reported by PTI, Justice Mishra wrote in his directive, “Looking at the gravity of the incident, it is considered appropriate that the Karnataka (State) Cricket Association, as well as the concerned franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, be asked to submit their written replies to the complaint.”
