With this distinction, the HEAT Awards recognize Trevi’s remarkable musical career, which includes selling out 55 concerts at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional and 14 at the Arena CDMX — more than any other Latin American artist in both venues, according to the press release. With more than 30 million albums sold, 7 billion streams and multiple No. 1 hits on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart, Trevi is one of the most iconic, controversial and influential figures in Latin music.
Known for her punk attitude and explosive stage presence, she has captivated audiences for nearly four decades with her bold and fearless artistry, delivering anthems such as “Pelo Suelto,” “Cinco Minutos,” “Con los Ojos Cerrados” and “El Favor de la Soledad.” In April, she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at Billboard Latin Women in Music 2026.
Her story is also one of constant reinvention in Latin pop. Now working independently through her label Great Talent Records, Trevi celebrated her legacy in 2026 with the Celebration Tour, which took her across Latin America, Central America and Spain. The tour included a birthday concert at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, and sold out dates at the Auditorio Nacional. She is currently preparing her 15th studio album, set to be released in early 2027, with its first singles, “Intensamente” and “Pompas de Jabón,” debuting this year.
Beyond the stage, Trevi is an advocate for women who have experienced domestic violence, is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and, through her Ana Dalai Foundation, has supported homeless children in Mexico and the U.S.
For the first time, the HEAT Latin Music Awards ceremony will take place in Mexico, in collaboration with the government of Jalisco and the municipality of Puerto Vallarta. The gala will conclude the HEAT Week, scheduled from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5, spanning events in Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.
This year, Karol G leads the list of nominees with 10 nods, including best female artist, best urban artist, album of the year for Tropicoqueta and best viral song with “BbY WOW.” She’s followed by nine-time nominee Bad Bunny, and Carlos Rivera and Shakira with seven nods each.
