The high-profile couple marked the beginning of their milestone as husband and wife after they officially tied the knot on Friday, June 27, on the private island of San Giorgio in Venice.
The American journalist commemorated the moment by adding “Bezos” to her Instagram handle. She also deleted her previous posts, leaving only photos from the wedding.
The wedding dress, which she described as “not just a gown but a piece of poetry,” showcased a hand-appliquéd Italian lace design with a high neckline and a mermaid-cut silhouette that complemented her figure.

According to her, it was a nod to Sophia Loren’s look in the 1958 movie Houseboat.
"I researched pictures of brides in the 1950s,” she said, adding, “I wanted to reflect back and I saw Sophia Loren and her hands were like this [imitating a prayer position] and she was in high lace, up to the neck, and I said, 'That's it. That's the dress.'"
“It was a departure from what people expect,” she told the outlet, adding that the look was, in some way, a reflection of her true self.
