(KRON) -- A fatal crash on eastbound Interstate 80 in Crockett shut down all lanes Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. One lane has reopened as of 5:12 a.m.

Just before 4 a.m., authorities responded south of the Carquinez Bridge to reports of a multi-vehicle collision involving a big rig, CHP’s incident log showed. At least three vehicles were involved, including the big rig, which was towing a load of 85,000 to 90,000 pounds.

A coroner was requested at the scene. No further information on the fatality is known.

Eastbound traffic was being diverted off of the interstate to Cummings Skyway. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternative routes.

There is no estimated time to fully reopen the roadway.
