(KRON) -- A woman who was allegedly intoxicated behind the wheel in a fatal crash that resulted in the death of her two children over the weekend has been charged. Yesica Barajas, 31, of Napa, has been charged with two felony counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to the Napa County District Attorney.
Barajas also faces a felony count of driving under the influence of alcohol and a drug causing injury, and two felony counts of child abuse in connection to an alleged DUI crash in which her children both died. Barajas, the DA went on, faces additional allegations that the crimes encompasses serious felonies, great bodily injury, bodily injury to more than one victim, vulnerable victims, and that she was in a position of trust.

Barajas was behind the wheel of the family's 2006 Nissan when it veered off a Highway 29 exit ramp at Imola Avenue around 7 a.m. Sunday morning and slammed into a tree 30 feet down an embankment. Her two children -- 9-year-old Aaliyah Montanez and 10-year-old Damien Montanez -- suffered fatal injuries.
Barajas survived but suffered major injuries, the DA said. She is currently still in the hospital but has been administratively booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections.
Bail for Barajas has been set at $1.5 million.
