(KRON) -- Vallejo Police said a juvenile suspect who was "too young to have a driver's license" led police on a dangerous chase before abandoning the car and trying to run away.

Police said officers were able to successfully perform an "immobilization technique" that disabled the car near Mendocino and L. Ellenburg streets.
After a brief foot chase, Vallejo PD confirmed the juvenile suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility. The child's parent was made aware of the arrest. The owner of the stolen vehicle was notified of her recovered car.
Police said there were no injuries reported during the incident.
