SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KRON) -- Midway through a weeks-long murder trial for a former rock band member, Theobald "Mylo" Lengyel, the Santa Cruz District Attorney's Office received an urgent email. The victim's friend sent an email on September 9 writing, "Hello, I am a friend of Alyx. I wanted to let you know that one night Mylo asked me to help with killing someone. It was 4-5 years ago. I was in shock and terminated the conversation." Lengyel, 55, of El Cerrito, is charged with murdering his girlfriend, Alice "Alyx" Kamakaokalani Herrmann, 61, of Capitola, in December of 2023.
