SANTA MARIA, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is hosting a one-day class at Allan Hancock College for law enforcement agencies and the public to learn more about human trafficking on the Central Coast this Thursday. The class will be an educational opportunity and training for people on patrol or witness trafficking first hand. The class will be ran by Rick Geiss, a CHP officer for 21 years and expert investigator of human trafficking cases. He has since been assigned to the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force and testified in numerous court hearings for his experience.
