The Hillsboro Lady Indians team won the third grade girls basketball title at the McDonald’s Classic Basketball Tournament in Greenfield. In the championship game on Feb. 25, Hillsboro won against Greenfield, 11-10, with Harper Horne sinking a free throw with five seconds left to win the game. Their championship run also included wins against Waverly (12-8) on Feb. 21; Zane Trace (18-13) on Feb. 23; and Greenfield (17-15) on Feb. 24. The team includes Nora Basford, Kennedy Blakely, Alexis Captain, Addison Coates, Abigail Garen, Lennon Garman, Harper Horne, Anniston Montalvo and Henley Morgan.
