WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) – We’ve had unseasonably warm temperatures all month long and now people in Waterloo have more chances to enjoy some time outdoors. On February 28, the city opened all three of its golf courses for the season. City officials say they opened the courses more than a month earlier than they did last year. Robert Pratt was out golfing and said he had been looking forward to playing all month long. “It’s time to get out,” Pratt said. “I’ve been hitting balls the past two weeks, you know. I was hoping they’d open up a week ago, but we were ready for it, you know. I’ve had my clubs in my trunk for a week.” The three courses are Gates Park, Irv Warren Memorial, and South Hill
