NEWTON FALLS — Newton Falls village council has scheduled a special meeting for 6 p.m. Wednesday to act on an emergency measure to name Jeff Limbian as the law director and prosecutor for the village. Limbian of Youngstown, has been serving as interim law director without compensation since the beginning of January. The emergency ordinance to be acted on would have Limbian begin as law director and prosecutor effective Feb. 1 at a salary of $7,750 per month. If the motion passes, Limbian will give attorney Jordan Knabb a 60-day notice of termination as prosecutor, and Limbian would serve as co-prosecutor with Knabb during that time period.
