The highly anticipated game between the Timberwolves and the Pelicans left fans on the edge of their seats as they witnessed a thrilling battle on the court. However, it was a disappointing night for Timberwolves supporters, as they suffered their first loss of the season with a final score of 117-106 in favor of the Pelicans.

From the opening tip-off, it was evident that both teams were determined to secure a victory. The Timberwolves showcased their offensive prowess with impressive shooting and fast breaks, while the Pelicans displayed exceptional teamwork and defensive skills. The game was neck-and-neck throughout, with lead changes occurring frequently.

Here's everything you need to know about Wolves vs. Pelicans on Wednesday, including how to get tickets to the game, watch it on TV and listen on the radio.

Williamson and Ingram combined to shoot 18 of 26.

"We've all been locked in and connected on the defensive end, and that leads to a lot of better things on the offensive end; transition points and just the movement of the ball," Williamson said. "So, when me, CJ and B.I. do get in our iso, we've got more space."

Finch said after Monday’s game that McLaughlin might just be taking a spot in the rotation with the way he had played in short minutes, and he made good on those comments, subbing in McLaughlin in late in the first quarter. McLaughlin played 17 minutes in all and had three points, four assists and three rebounds.

On Wednesday, Minnesota trailed the Pelicans (21-14) by 13 points at the half, only this time the Wolves weren’t ever able to make a run. They couldn’t seem to buy a basket for stretches of the game, shooting just 45.1% from the field and 32.3% from 3-point range on the night.

New Orleans handed Minnesota just its second home loss of the season and did so in dominant fashion. The game was the final of four regular-season meetings between the two clubs this season, meaning any future contests would take place in the playoffs. At this point, there’s no guarantee that would work out well for the Wolves.

“Yeah, they’ve been playing very well. Last six weeks, top-10 team in the league,” Finch said. “But we gotta be better, we gotta be way better. If we wanna do anything in the Western Conference, we’re gonna have to go through all these teams that are playing really well.”
