The Colorado Avalanche’s victory over the Calgary Flames on Halloween came from the top line.
“The effort was really good. Intentions were right, played the right way — top line was really good,” head coach Jared Bednar said. “We didn’t give up a lot of scoring chances, but the ones we did were big ones. Some of those are on us, the turnovers and they made a couple plays too. Beat us to the net a couple times, and Blackwood was exceptional. Made big saves when we needed him.”
