That works out to an average of approximately $7.8 million per show, making Dion’s latest run a record-setting achievement in the world of concert residencies. Her average audience of 33,700 people per night also nearly doubles the previous highest per-show attendance in Billboard Boxscore’s residency records, held by Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden performances.

The success marks a remarkable new chapter for Dion, 58, whose performing career was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and her subsequent diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause muscle stiffness and painful spasms.
Dion revealed her diagnosis publicly in December 2022 and eventually canceled the remaining dates of her Courage World Tour. She returned to the spotlight with an emotional performance of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour” during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, but her full-scale concert comeback would take longer.
When she finally opened her Paris residency in September, Dion became emotional as she addressed the sold-out audience.
“I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage,” she told the crowd. “So here I am, singing for you, singing for me, singing life!”
The Paris success also adds to Dion’s already extraordinary residency history. Her previous Las Vegas productions, A New Day… and Celine, remain the two highest-grossing residencies in Billboard Boxscore history.
Fans won’t have to wait long for another chance to see her perform. Dion is scheduled to return to Paris for 10 additional concerts in May 2027, with shows planned between May 8 and May 29.
