VENTURA, Calif. (KEYT) – A pedestrian died after a car crash on Highway 101 near Ventura just before 9:00 p.m. Saturday, according to the Ventura CHP.
The 50-year-old woman was in the first lane of the southbound 101 when a 47-year-old woman from Salt Lake City hit them in their BMW, according to the Ventura CHP.
Ventura fire personnel declared the 50-year-old dead at the scene and closed the 101 for about two and a half hours for the investigation, according to the Ventura CHP.
Witnesses for the crash are asked to contact the Ventura CHP with additional information.
