A White House official confirmed to Parade on Friday that Zacharia would be “transitioning out” of her role, after her performance throughout her first week drew widespread media scrutiny. Critics said Zacharia appeared unprepared for the role and uncomfortable speaking to the press.
Zacharia also admitted on Thursday that she never actually passed the bar exam, which surprised many because Trump had described her as an attorney when he announced her for the job.

Trump’s explanation for hiring Zacharia, which he announced on his Truth Social account, was that she was a “distinguished Graduate of Pepperdine University, and the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, an attorney, and a frequent commentator on outlets, including Fox News and Newsmax.”
Less than a week later, Trump’s explanation for firing Zacharia was that he didn’t want her to be mistreated by the press, who he has frequently accused of being too critical of his administration. “I told her, ‘I think you’re better off being happy,’” Trump said to reporters on Sunday. “I said, ‘Honestly, if I were you, I’d reconsider.’”
Later in the segment, Magliano made fun of the American SNL‘s recent host Shane Gillis for his controversial monologue.
“Wearing the gym shorts will protect women from being up-skirted, but it does make them vulnerable to something much worse,” Magliano said, showing a picture of Gillis on the 30 Rock stage.
Addressing Gillis’ accidental F-bomb on stage, Magliano joked further, “Oh, Shane, you’re not allowed to say that, you stupid f**king c**t.”
