Well, that one sucked. Not really sure what the game plan or performance was. Let’s just flush it and move on.
Bears Instant Grades
Offense
QB Tyson Bagent | F-
If Caleb can’t start next week, let’s see Case Keenum (not that he was great in garbage time). Interceptions were terrible. He had no feel for the offense. He’s not very good. If there were a lower grade, Bagent would have received it today. He was benched in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late.

He ran decently hard. Not sure why he split carries essentially with Roschon Johnson, unless he was banged up. Really weird the Bears got away from the run so early.
WR Rome Odunze | D
He was targeted a lot, but wasn’t in the best position to make catches. Even in garbage time, the fumble was unacceptable.
WR Luther Burden III | C-
It’s not that he was bad today; I don’t think he was really put in a position to succeed. The Bears need to get back to having him be a downfield threat.

Had a costly drop, and the blocking wasn’t great
TE Colston Loveland | D
Nowhere near effective enough today.
Offensive Line | D
Granted, they weren’t given much of a chance to get into a rhythm, but they were incredibly underwhelming in the run game.
Defense
Defensive Line | B-
I thought they were the best unit defensively. They could certainly still use Khalil Mack, but they flashed the most on this side of the ball.
Linebackers | D
Busted coverages; not great in space or against the run. They need to be better.
Secondary | F
Just an awful day. Thieneman was at fault for the 3rd-and-22 TD. Jaylon Johnson looks washed. It was a really bad day for this unit.

K Cairo Santos | D
Can’t miss field goals.
P Tory Taylor | B
He was fine today.
Bears Coaching
Ben Johnson | F
Play calling today was rough. It felt panicky early on, and too cute late. Clearly he didn’t have much, if any faith in Tyson Bagent. He’s a great head coach and play caller, but he tends to outthink himself at times. That’s what today was.
Dennis Allen | C-
He was ok. I don’t think the defense was aggressive enough; they fell back into being overly conservative at times, and it cost them. This defense thrives on speed and chaos. They have to live and die with that mindset.
