Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Leah Inman, a junior at Millard North High School in Omaha, Nebraska, has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Florida for 2028-29. She wrote to SwimSwam:
“I am so grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Florida! I want to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for their constant support throughout this journey. I am also incredibly thankful to the coaching staff at UF for giving me this amazing opportunity! Go Gators!!!”
Inman is a 4-time Nebraska High School state champion, having won the 50 free (PB of 23.32 in prelims) and 100 free (PB of 50.97) as a freshman at the 2025 NSAA Championships, and the 200 free (1:48.33) and 500 free (4:59.80) as a sophomore in 2026. She also led off the runner-up 200 free relay this past season, clocking a PB of 22.91 in the process.
Inman trains year-round with the club team Swim Omaha. At 2025 Winter Juniors West, she lowered her 50/100/200 free times to 22.97/50.11/1:50.37 and added a new lifetime best in the 200 IM (2:03.86). In March, she competed at Columbia Sectionals and took another 4-tenths off her 50 free time to place 3rd with 22.53. She also placed 5th in the 100 free, 5th in the 200 free, 9th in the 100 back, 22nd in the 100 breast, and 16th in the 100 fly. She anchored the 4×50 free and 4×50 medley relays with a pair of 22.3s, improved her 100 back time by 3.2 seconds to 54.91, and dropped 2.7 seconds in her 100 fly to go 57.76.
In the 2026 long-course season, she had a big meet at Columbia Sectionals, where she won the 50 free, was 3rd in the 100 free, and placed 17th in the 100 back, 18th in the 50 fly, 21st in the 100 fly, and 6th in the 200 IM. She lowered her LCM bests in the 50 free (25.98), 100 free (57.00), 100 back (1:04.33), 50 fly (28.78), 100 fly (1:04.76), and 200 IM (2:22.66).
In addition to her individual events, Inman brings the Gators huge potential in relays with some of the best sprint free times in the class. We named her a “Best of the Rest” sprinter on our Way Too Early list of top girls’ swimming recruits from the high school class of 2028. Inman will suit up with fellow commits Isabella Green and McKenzie Cory in the fall of 2028.
