An investigation remains underway after a 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash in the Sauganash neighborhood over the weekend.
According to Chicago police, the man was riding a motorcycle in the 4800 block of West Peterson at approximately 6:04 p.m. Sunday when an SUV driven by a 44-year-old woman attempted to turn in front of him.
The resulting collision left the motorcyclist with severe injuries, and he was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the SUV received a citation for a failure to yield in connection to the crash, but additional citations and charges are possible as an investigation continues.
