The news comes a few months after Katya, 44, underwent emergency abdominal surgery in May 2026. At the time, she described the experience as “absolute hell on earth” after spending 10 days in the hospital for the bowel obstruction.

She also underwent hip replacement surgery in 2023 due to wear and tear from years of high-energy performances.
The Russian-inspired queen first appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race in Season 7 and was voted Miss Congeniality by fans. She returned for Season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, where she was named the runner-up. She currently hosts the podcast The Bald and The Beautiful with her Drag Race BFF Trixie Mattel.
Katya’s latest health update comes just one day before she and Trixie were set to kick off their “Very Bald and Very Beautiful Tour” in Oakland on Thursday, September 17.
