ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A Yellow Alert remains up through 9PM for the small chance of a strong to severe storm, especially south of the Thruway this evening. Any stronger storm will produce locally heavy rain, some lightning and perhaps some gusty wind. The main line of storms will move east by about 9-10PM, at which point our weather will quiet down and the Yellow Alert will be dropped.
Drier air and high pressure will slowly begin to build in Wednesday night into Thursday. We’ll see mainly dry weather on Thursday with a gradual drop in humidity and dew points. We’ll see a mix of clouds and sunshine, and temperatures in the mid 70s.
Friday looks like a beautiful day, with a blue sky just being dotted by some lake enhanced clouds, especially in the morning. It’ll be dry and comfortable, though a bit cooler, with highs near 70.
The weekend will start off nice, with a cool morning Saturday, warming to near 80 by the afternoon with a fair amount of sun. A few showers will sneak back in on Sunday, though it doesn’t look like it’ll be a washout at all.
