Max Branning's (Jake Wood) wedding to Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has been left in jeopardy in Monday's (7th September 2026) eventful episode of EastEnders.
After missing most of his stag night - the result of Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) kidnapping him and going on the attack over Max's affair with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), Max was again unaccounted for on the morning of his big day.
While Jack (Scott Maslen) and Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) panicked, Max ended up at Linda Carter's (Kellie Bright), asking if she was messing with his head by confessing her love the night before his nuptials.
Linda assured him she wasn't playing games and told him he was a good man, but Max left her disgusted by revealing his affair with Priya and she ordered him to leave.
At the car lot, Priya quit her job (again) and explained she wanted a fresh start with Ravi, but Max left her stunned by commenting that she'd better hope Linda didn't spill the beans!
After Priya pleaded with Linda, it had the opposite effect when Linda decided she couldn't leave Annie (Lois Hawkins), the young daughter she shares with Max, in the middle of his farce of a wedding, and she jumped in a cab to put a stop to it.

Priya, who is secretly pregnant with Max's baby, followed on in another taxi, desperate to stop Linda from broadcasting everything which would hurt her and Ravi's kids Davinder 'Nugget' Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James).
At the hotel, Cindy was finally feeling content as Max arrived, unaware of the groom's betrayal and that he had almost jilted her.
Then Linda walked in, followed by a nervous Priya, and the stage was set for her to destroy the ceremony with what she knows. Will she tell Cindy everything?
Walford's other bride of the moment was Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), who was moved by big sister Denise's (Diane Parish) 'Something Borrowed' gift - her 'D' necklace which would allow Kim to have her close to her heart while she remained in hospital.
Groom Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) had hired a horse to escort Kim, who was in her element until she saw Denise's face via video link and faltered at the last minute.
Howie instantly understood that Kim needed D' beside her on her special day, so he took Kim and the family to the hospital, where they prepared to say their vows in front of Denise.
While Kim beamed with happiness, how will Cindy fare as the day of her dreams descends into chaos?
